Rich and Sophia

Some friends of ours are moving to Utah and couldn't haul this thing with them so we were lucky enough to get a call from to see if we wanted this awesome play set! It has four swings one of them is like a horse swing where to people can sit on it and go back and forth. That is Lincoln's favorite. Both of the boys are loving their new swing set. When we first got it Lincoln went out and saw them moving it in the backyard. He ran in the house and said, "Mom I got new toys, a slide, and swings." He was so excited, the night we got the play set it was dark and freezing outside and he wanted to play on it all night! Since then they are out there everyday! Lincoln wanted me to take a picture of him racing his cars down the slide! There's a fireman pole that Lincoln goes down by himself and we saw Rocky go down once too! Here is their first time eating lunch outside in 2009. They were so excited!  It was such a beautiful day outside, the joy of living in Southern Califo...

Don't even ask how that happened to his neck. I am clueless! The boys were running around with balloons and so all I could think was one of the strings got caught on his neck and gave him a burn. I just  loved this picture other than the cut on his neck!! He is such a sweet little boy and he just loves to be loved and give loves! Right now he has a bit of a cold and I feel so bad for him I just cuddle him all day (and night). I didn't get much sleep last night but that's just what comes with the territory. I love my boys all three of them and would do anything in the world for them. Just look at that face, doesn't it just put a smile on your face!! He loves wearing mommy's shoes, daddy's shoes, Lincoln's shoes, anybody's shoes that will let him. He loves his shoes too, he just loves shoes!!

We went to the LA Zoo with Genine, Noah and Sariah. It was so fun and they have a family pass so we got in for free. What a bonus! Lincoln was so excited the second we walked into the zoo he went running to the first thing he could see. He ran from one exhibit to the next. I was having a hard time keeping up with him. He had fun with his friend Noah!! Lincoln wanted me to take a picture of the mad crocodile.  The gorillas were very active right here by the glass. The baby gorilla kept running back and forth in front of the glass and he started hitting the glass at one point. They were eating popcorn and Lincoln thought that was pretty funny because he loves to eat popcorn. Once Noah and Lincoln warmed up to each other they had fun running around together. It was a fun trip to the zoo. Thanks Noah and Genine for inviting us!!

We are going to try and go to Disneyland at least once a month until our passes expire, so for the month of February I think we went twice but here are some pics from Briana's birthday!! Happy Birthday Aunt Briana! We were so happy we could celebrate with you at Disneyland, it was such a fun day! Rocky fell asleep around 5:30 and so we went on the Jungle Cruise and then we went over to get seats for Fantasmic. It was about six and I thought it started at seven because there was already tons of people saving seats. Come to find out it didn't start until eight. So Briana and I waited while Nana, Papa, Uncle Brett and Lincoln went on some rides. Rocky woke up at about seven and was a wreck. He finally calmed down when Papa brought some popcorn back. The show was fun except for the fact that we got rained on practically the whole time, and not from the sky. The water show sprays water up so it was like being under a mister. The kids were very entertained and Rocky loves Mickey Mous...

This was the highlight for Rocky! There is glass on the sides and on top of you in this little spot about every minute the water comes over the top of you and it was so exciting!! The boys would all scream when the water came over! Lincoln standing next to a full size picture of a baby blue whale! Looking at the funny fish in the aquarium! There was this hands on play area that the boys loved! They would have stayed in this one spot all day if we gave them the option. You pull on the lever in their right hand and it shoots out water into the water. They loved these things! Rocky was playing in the baby play area and the thing he is lying on is like a waterbed to simulate them walking on water! He was hogging all the fish, whenever another kid would come over I would have to make him share one of the fish. He was getting soaked so Grammy put one of the plastic aprons over him! This little aquarium had two clown fish or better known as nemo fish and Rocky sat there and watched them for a...

Lincoln was looking at all the pictures at the aquarium and he said, "Where is that hammer thing?" So I asked him if this was the picture he was talking about and he said, "Yeah, Yeah!!" It was this thing that he could stamp sea creatures onto bookmarks. He thought that he had to push really hard so he would sit there with all of his strength pushing down on the piece of paper!

Sorry for the novel, you don't have to read it!! On February 7th my mom got a call from my Aunt Suzie, her sister to inform her that their dad had died. I have never met William Damon and my mom hasn't seen him for a little over 25 years. To make a long story short none of us sought him out for good reason and he never attempted to rejoin the family in anyway. So my Aunt went over and arranged the funeral and burial so my mom wanted to go up to support the efforts of her sister! It is also the close of an empty chapter in my moms life. So I wanted to go with my mom so she didn't have to go by herself. Then we decided to make a little trip out of it so Briana and her kids joined us. The drive up north took us about five and a half hours, we had stopped at Carls Jr. to get some dinner and it was empty so Lincoln and Nixon were doing laps in the store. Nixon fell and I have no idea how but he sliced his ear open. Then we got back on the freeway and we were looking for a Walmar...

Lincoln was given a little softcover Book of Mormon from our Primary Presidency at the beginning of the year when he started sunbeams and he loves to get it out and look at the pictures. Today he was sitting on the couch with his Book of Mormon and he was reading from it! Well to him he was saying what he thought would be written on those pages. Here are some of the things he said... "Heavenly Father wants me for a sunbeam because I love Heavenly Father!" "We need to share because we need to be nice to our brother!" "Heavenly Father loves me and Jesus!" There were other things he said that I didn't catch so next time he gets it out I will have to add them on. It was adorable and gave me some reassurance that we must be doing something right!

I planted some winter vegetables a few months ago and haven't done a single thing since and I went out the other day and I couldn't believe what I saw. These were all tiny little plants when I planted them. Look at my red cabbage plant it is beautiful!! This is all celery it is growing like crazy! Look at my broccoli, I couldn't believe it when I went out and there was actually a little broccoli on the top of the plant. Lincoln and Rocky were out with me and they thought it was so cool. Now every time we go out to look Rocky touches the broccoli and says it. He loves broccoli, both of them do! Hanging out by the broccoli plants! Our lemon tree also got a lot of lemons for being brand new! I can't wait for our peach and nectarine tree to blossom and bare fruit! That will be very exciting!
