General Relief Society Meeting

Okay was that not one of the greatest talks from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf!! I just loved it!! You don't have to read all of this I just want to write down my notes from the meeting, I just was overwhelmed by the spirit and the topic of his talk pertains to every single being on this earth it was just so great!!! 

The path to peace, hope, and joy... is developing God's happiness! 
What is God's happiness?
God's happiness comes from creation and compassion!
CREATE - we all can create, we are spirit sons and daughters of the most creative being in the universe! Our purpose should be to seek and experience eternal happiness! As a mother - create bodies for spirit children but don't stop there - teach and educate them! The definition of creation is bringing into existence something that did not exist before.
It doesn't have to be perfect. You can start small. See how many smiles you can create, make beautiful everything that is around you! When you look upon your labors you do so with pleasure! Adorn your minds with knowledge! 
Creation is an opportunity in this life and destiny in the life to come!!
Compassion... mourn with those that mourn, comfort those in need of comfort!
As we lift others we rise a little higher ourselves!

Be an instrument of the Lord answering the prayers of others!

That is only the small bit that I could write down, I'm not the fastest writer so I can't wait to read that talk again and if anybody didn't get a chance to watch the broadcast you really should read his talk it was awesome!!! I just went through my other notes and all the talks were really great here are a couple of key points from Sister Julie Beck- 
The purpose of Relief Society is to organize, teach and inspire his daughters to prepare them to receive the blessings of eternal life!
1. ? I will need to reread it!!
2. Strengthen families and home
- duty to defend "A Proclamation to the World"
-Home to be a refuge from the world for our family "sanctuary"
3. Serve the Lord and his children
-Without personal revelation we cannot succeed, with personal revelation we cannot fail!
-The Lord expects us to fulfill our purpose in Relief Society!

No it's not the bunny lollipops! Uncle Norris and Aunt Brenna!! We got to spend Easter morning with them before they left on their cruise!! Papa made Mount O Eggs, which was as always unbelievable!! Proud mommy moment

Lincoln read his first whole chapter from the book of Mormon this evening. Alma chapter 29. I love verse 1, which says... "O that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I may go forth and speak with the trump of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people!" I LOVE my children, they are remarkable, amazing little spirits and I am grateful I have the privilege to be called their mother I just pray that I can live worthy of that holy calling.
