Christmas with the Dunn's

Image
We were lucky enough to have the Dunn fam come to our house before Christmas this year with the exception of Grandpa. :( He was missed!! So Grandma and Aunt Trish came the Friday before Christmas and Uncle Chris, Aunt Heather and the girls came on Sunday, a day later than planned because Camille was sick throwing up. (Which is a whole other story, I will post about later.) Everyone stayed until Wednesday and we had a great time playing, playing and more playing. We woke up Monday morning and pretended it was Christmas. Daddy got a new trainer for his road bike, so he can ride it in the family room from his mom & dad and mommy got a gift certificate to Sport Chalet to get some new work out clothes. Lincoln got an air hockey table, Rocky got a marble race tower among many other things!! We went and looked at Christmas lights that night and there are some streets around here that are quite remarkable!! Watching a Christmas movie with Aunt Trishy on her computer. We had to get a pictur...

Breakfast with Santa

Image
Singing Christmas carols and being very entertained watching Sister Halladay direct the music! Little Gracie McKeon is so cute with the boys, she always gives them a big hug, they love her!! I was laughing at all these adults singing, "A partridge in a pear tree." They were so into it!! This Santa was a little scary, they didn't want to say anything so finally Lincoln said he wanted a car. Then Santa said, "Oh like a remote control car that can go up hills." Lincoln shook his head in agreement. When we got home he wrote Santa a letter and asked for a remote control monster truck. Yikes! I had already got him a hot wheels track. Stinkin Santa Clause!!

Scooter's Jungle 2009

This place is so fun and the boys loved it. Rocky was a little scared of the big slide but he ended up going down it with me a couple of times. We went with Aunt Vanessa, Ashton and a good friend Carla with her two boys, Blake and Jordan. Lincoln loved this air hockey table. Once he discovered it he was stuck there.

Lil' Kickers

Image
Lincoln has been in this lil' kickers class at the soccer center for a couple of months. He goes every friday morning and loves it! They have the kids do lots of fun drills and play little one on one games. The big squishy balls are one of the favorites because they get to kick them up really high! That's Lincoln's friend Haven Halladay. Look at that concentration!!

Thanksgiving

Image
Uncle Norris built the coolest fort that took up the kids whole play room. They thought it was pretty awesome. Norris is the funnest Uncle, the kids love it when he and Brenna come to visit. Searching for Black Friday Sales. Trish, Brenna and I woke up early on Black Friday and went to Old Navy, Toys R Us and Kohl's. We found some great deals and got to hang out with a bunch of crazy shoppers. Playing Nixon's Nintendo DS.

Playing in the leaves...

Image
is so much fun!! I had been wanting to take pictures in the leaves for a long time after seeing a friend of mine's pictures of her kids. It looked fun and you get cute colorful pictures. So we filled up four big lawn bags with leaves from my moms lawn and took them over to the park to take our family picture for our Christmas card. My wonderful sister-in-law Trish was here for Thanksgiving so she was our photographer and we got some really good pictures. The End Result!! The lighting wasn't ideal but I think it turned out pretty cute and the boys loved it!! This will definitely be a yearly family tradition!!

Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl

Our future football player... Nice Throw Daddy!! "I love that doggy!!" This is what Rocky says when he sees any dog or cat. He just loves them!!

Festival of Trees

Image
This year they had this fun kids corner. They got to paint a rock, frost a cookie (and eat it), make a Christmas card, make a candy leigh, and go in the bubble machine. This Santa was awesome! He talked to the kids and was super nice!! They told him they want a hot wheels track for Christmas. We went with Grammy and the boys loved looking at all the Christmas trees and gingerbread houses. Maybe one year we will decorate one for them to auction off.

The Movie Dudes

This afternoon Lincoln was watching Hercules, Rocky had fallen asleep on the couch. Then it was time to go to gymnastics so I turned it off and loaded the boys in the car. We were about a mile away from home and Lincoln says, "Hey mom you know the movie dudes. Do you think they will do a Hercules number 2 movie?" I will have to look into that one.

My handsome boys!

We had our primary program in our ward and I have been wanting to get Lincoln a suit for church. Then I found one at Walmart for only $30. So I got it and he looked so sharp. That morning I had asked him if he wanted to wear his green tie or his red bow tie. He immediately said the red one. Then a minute later he asked me, "Mom does daddy wear a bow tie?" I replied no. Then he told me, "I want to wear the tie like my dad." Twins.

The Zit

Can we say gross! I told him I needed to pop it and he said, "No don't pop it." Then I told him I would give him a treat. So he said okay. A few days later I had some owies on my face and he pointed at them and said, "Mommy has a owie? You pop it!" Yes mommy gets lots of owies!

Halloween Fun

Image
I was not very good about taking pictures this halloween. In fact the only pictures I took were at Lincoln's preschool carnival. They got to wear their costumes to school and then the last thirty minutes they were able to run around and play games. It was very fun! Lincoln really wanted to be a Hot Wheels Race Car Driver this year for Halloween. Rocky was Mr. Incredible, not Dash he was Mr. Incredible. He was very particular. Rocky being a ghost at the carnival. Lincoln with his very first school teacher, Ms. Cindy. This is at my mom and Vanessa's ward Halloween trunk or treat. The kids had a ton of fun. This was the first time I attempted to paint Rocky's face and he totally held still the whole time. I was amazed. Last year he freaked out when we tried to paint the lines under his eyes to be a football player so I wasn't sure how it was going to go. But he loved it, when I showed him in the mirror a big grin spread across his face! Ashton, Lincoln and Coby. This is at...
