Halloween Fun
I was not very good about taking pictures this halloween. In fact the only pictures I took were at Lincoln's preschool carnival. They got to wear their costumes to school and then the last thirty minutes they were able to run around and play games. It was very fun! Lincoln really wanted to be a Hot Wheels Race Car Driver this year for Halloween. Rocky was Mr. Incredible, not Dash he was Mr. Incredible. He was very particular.

This is at my mom and Vanessa's ward Halloween trunk or treat. The kids had a ton of fun. This was the first time I attempted to paint Rocky's face and he totally held still the whole time. I was amazed. Last year he freaked out when we tried to paint the lines under his eyes to be a football player so I wasn't sure how it was going to go. But he loved it, when I showed him in the mirror a big grin spread across his face!

This is at our ward Halloween party, the whole crew came. I made THE best chili, it was so yummy full of veggies, I will post the recipe on our blog. Courtesy of Liz Elliot. I won for most original, which doesn't mean a whole lot when every single person got a prize for something. Whatever happened to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. It was a really fun party. They had a spook alley which I didn't allow my boys to go in because they tend to have nightmares. I told Lincoln he couldn't go and he was totally cool with that. They had the kids line up and let each one go up on the stage to say their name and who they were dressed up as. Rocky didn't want to go until he saw that he got to talk in the microphone and then he couldn't get up their fast enough. He went out on the stage and said, Mr. Incredible. Then walked off, he is so cute. It was a fun night!

Halloween night we always go to my moms to go trick or treating and stuff ourselves with chili and lots of goodies. This year Briana and my mom made caramel apples. They were the most delicious caramel apples ever. I helped make some because I wanted one with almonds, marshmallows and dark chocolate drizzled all over it. So yummy!! This year we invited the Marchionda's and the McKee's over to Trick or treat. They are childhood friends that are now married with kids. So we set off with our big group up the street. About four houses into it Rocky went up to one of the houses and came back a minute later freaking out. So I picked him up and he was pointing and saying, "Scary!" So I went with him to see what it was about. They had a few scary things but then I saw what scared him. Right behind a post next to the front door was a life size Freddy with the mask and the knife moving up and down. His head and eyes moved too. It scared me it looked so real! So I hurried away with Rocky and he was traumatized the rest of the time. He went on one street and was then asking to go back to Grammy's house so Daddy went back with Rocky and I continued on with the other kids and adults. Lincoln had so much fun and was very excited about all the candy he got. The next morning he was eating his cereal for breakfast and said, "Mommy it hurts right here." Pointing to his cheek. I think he ate a little to much candy.
