Rich and Sophia

We got the boys these dart guns for Christmas because Lincoln was asking for a shooter and I found these at Toys R Us the day after Thanksgiving and they were on sale and it came with the two guns the glasses and the velcro target shields. They love these shooters, whenever Nixon comes over thats his favorite toy to play with. Lincoln cocks it all by himself and helps out his little brother. But what was so funny this day they got all the gear on and then Rocky would stick a dart in the gun and then point it at himself and the dart would stick to his target so it looks like Lincoln was hammering on Rocky but he actually did it to himself. I love these boys they are so much fun!!!!

Lincoln loves playing in the backyard. Most mornings it is the first thing he asks to do is go play outside. This is his very favorite swing and he does it by himself and loves to go really high and really fast!! He drew himself with chalk on the concrete. Isn't that the cutest thing ever!! He draws a circle for the head and then does two dots for eyes and a smile. Then he draws two arms off of the head and two legs on the bottom. He loves to color and draw, I think he may end up being a bit of an artist!!

I have no idea why I am smiling in this picture. We just ran 17 miles and my legs were hurting so bad. It is definitely getting easier though so we are officially registered for the LA Marathon. Should be fun!!

Last Sunday was Stake Conference and we were sitting on a bench with Jake, Vanessa and their kids. Before the meeting started Lincoln and Ashton were drawing together and talking back and forth. Lincoln: "Ashton, you're wearing a purple shirt, that's wierd." Ashton: "No, it's pink." Lincoln gets his purple and pink mixed up all he thinks is that they are girl colors so he's not to concerned about them. I always get the purple race car when we race!

This is from my sister, Vanessa's blog I just had to post it too because it's to dang funny!!! Yesterday I had Lincoln and Rocky at our house for a little bit. I was busy cleaning bathrooms and I heard Ashton and Lincoln jumping on his bed. I yelled from my bathroom, "Ashton, no jumping on your bed." He said "why?" Me: "because you could break your bed" Ashton: "That's okay I will just sleep in your room on the floor" Me: "No, I don't think so"! Then I heard Lincoln whisper "I'm going to go shoot your mom". I had my head down cleaning and I look up and Lincoln is standing there with Ashton's pop gun pointed right at me and a scowl on his face. (He was mad at me for not letting them jump on the bed.) Then Ashton comes in behind him with Sierra's pop gun pointed at me.

Nixon and Rocky were playing so cute in our backyard, Nixon was pulling Rocky on his bike and then he was doing this thing where he would make a funny noise and then spin away from Rocky. Rocky just thought it was the funniest thing in the world, so Nixon continued to do it over and over. 

Awesome handstand!! After everything he does he always looks over and gives a thumbs up!! Look at this awesome cartwheel!

This is THE most delicious candy bar I have ever tasted! I was at walmart buying an all natural cough syrup for my boys because they have been sick and coughing at night. A friend of mine told me about the cough syrup and it could be used for children over the age of 2. I was standing in line with Rocky when I spotted a box of these bars. I said to Rocky "Let's try one of these." It wasn't until a few days later that I opened it up. I cut off a small piece thinking I would share until I tasted it. I devoured the whole thing it was wonderful. It consists of almonds, caramel and marshmallow-flavored nougat wrapped in dark chocolate. If you ever get a chance you should try one of these!!!

I needed to go to the bank and the post office and I hadn't exercised yet so I decided to put the kids in our jogger stroller and run my errands. It was at about two in the afternoon so they both fell asleep pretty quick!

A friend in my ward got a three month old yellow lab and she decided she didn't want it anymore, it was to much work. So I told Vanessa about it and so we went over to check out the puppy. My boys were loving her! They were running around with her and just loving every minute. Ashton on the other hand was happy just hiding behind his mom. So we were out in the front yard and Rocky was running around a tree at the same time as the dog was coming around the other side. The puppy must have thought he was a fun chew toy because he jumped up and got him. At the time I had thought he just got his shirt and then when we got home Rocky was pulling on his shirt whining so I looked at it and there was a little bite mark. I asked him if he wanted a band aid on it and he said, "Yeah mom!" So I got him a band aid and then he didn't want it on his back so I asked him if he wanted it on his hand and he said, "Yeah mom!" I guess we will have to get a dog someday because eve...

Thomas the Train is the other thing Rocky has been loving lately! Whenever his Thomas pajamas are clean he wants to wear them. My mom also made him a blanket with flannel and one side is WALL-E and the other side is Thomas. We had to get the Wall-e fabric because he was carrying it all over the store so we got Thomas fabric for the other side and then Grammy sewed the two pieces together.  My moms neighbors have four little kids and the boys were over playing in their front yard and they had a Thomas engine like this one and Rocky was riding it around. Then he started going down the driveway and couldn't stop and went right into the street. He skinned his toes a little but wanted right back on the Thomas. When we were leaving their house he wanted to take Thomas with him he was so upset. I told Nana about that incident and so Nana and Papa got Rocky his very own Thomas for his birthday. Rocky's favorite movie lately has been WALL-E so when I saw this cake pan at Michael's I had to get it and make him a wall-e cake. All of the kids loved it! It was a lot of work but worth it. Rocky thought it was pretty cool! I can't believe my baby is two! Mommy, Daddy and Lincoln love you Rocky along with the rest of our family! You are one special little boy! He started picking at the frosting with his finger you can see it on the corner of the cake! These boys couldn't wait to get a piece of his cake! One of the boys blew out Rocky's candles the first time so we lit it again and were trying to get Rocky to blow them out himself. So he was blowing really softly for a minute and then I said, "Rocky blow!" Then he did it and blew out both of his candles all by himself! What a yummy funfetti cake!! Rocky opening his piggy bank that Lincoln got him. Lincoln wanted to get Rocky a piggy bank I think because he doesn't want to share his with him anymore! I...

I decided we need to start doing crafts at least once a week if not more! Lincoln loves it, when I showed him what we were going to do on the computer he was so excited but I told him we had to wait until Ashton came over so he could do it with us. He said, "Ahhhhh man!" He wanted to do it right away and then when Ashton came he was ecstatic! So we picked out some bright colored paper and the boys cut out pieces and Rocky ripped pieces with Aunt Vanessa's help. Then they took their little glue bottles and glued the paper on to make their "scrap masterpiece"! I got the idea from the website www.notimeforflashcards.com, they have some great craft ideas.
