Camping at Carpenteria
In February I got on the reserve america website and found the only available days were June 2nd, 3rd and 4th. So I reserved three sites hoping that all the family would be able to make it! We had such a fun trip and pretty much everyone could make it! Aunt Trishy even came with us! We got there Tuesday at about three and set up camp. Norris and Steve set up my tent, my moms tent, Briana's tent and then their own tents. Rich was coming up after work with the Sequoia loaded down with stuff! The sun came out about an hour after we got there and it was beautiful, so we went down to the beach and played for awhile. We had the most delicious foil dinners that night. I will have to post the recipe on our blog. Thanks to mom we ate the yummiest food the whole trip. That night we roasted marshmallows and I witnessed my first blue dart. The next morning Rocky was up at the crack of dawn and my mom came and got him. We got up soon after and went on a walk while the boys rode their bikes. We had my moms yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The sun finally broke through around two and it was beautiful. We had spaghetti, caesar salad and watermelon for dinner. That night around the campfire we played catchphrase. It was so fun, there were about twenty people in a circle around the fire playing the game. The next morning we woke up to the most beautiful blue sky, it was the clearest most beautiful day we could see all of the islands from the beach. We went on a bike ride on this awesome trail. If we weren't at the beach the kids were on their bikes. They were going nonstop all day. That night we roasted hot dogs and had baked beans and potato salad. Seriously we ate so good! The next morning we had to get ready to pack up and go so it decided to rain this morning. Anyway the kids enjoyed playing in the rain. We packed everything up, went to Duke's to get a burger for lunch and headed home. It was such a fun three days, I was so glad everyone could come and will be going every year!
Lincoln was on his bike practically the whole time. They found this dirt hill by the bathrooms that they would go down, camping is little boy heaven. They loved it!
Our poor little Rocky poo had a fever almost the whole time we were there. He's taking a nap in our tent on my SWEET bed! We borrowed my dad's cots and got some memory foam pads, I felt like I was at home.
The kids were getting buried by Monte and then he told them to grow like monsters and so they would pop out of the sand growling. His little girl Melissa said, "Daddy I want to grow like a flower!" Then she would pop out and dance around. It was so cute!!

Rocky fell asleep on me at the beach. He didn't feel good at all I felt so bad!

Daddy trying to get his wet suit off!

Uncle Norris jumping into the big hole with Lincoln and Nixon.

First time trying out the skim board. The boys had fun playing a baseball game called over the line, Rich even tried out surfing!! I still have to get some pics from Chase, he has some good ones!!

My little model, she was always letting me take pictures of her!

Our very last day when it was raining Ashton's bike got stuck and the back tire would just spin the water up so all the kids were taking turns on his bike. They were soaked when it was time to go! What a great trip, can't wait until next time!!
