The Ultimate Hot Wheels Party!

For Lincoln's 4th birthday he wanted a Hot Wheels party! He never wavered from his decision, his mind was set. Since I am the master at search engines on the internet I found some of the most clever ideas. I'm not the most creative person but I can find very creative people and copy them very well! So for a few days prior to Lincoln's party we made the preparations. I say we because I had two personal slaves. J/K. My sister-in-law Trish and my mother-in-law Charlene were visiting from Utah for the week so I put them to work. Trisha helped me spray paint all the box cars that the kids would get to decorate. Charlene punched holes and tied ribbon to go over there shoulders so they could run around with the cars. They cut out headlights and taillights and a myriad of other things pertaining to these silly cars. They ended up being quite a bit of work, but were really fun. Trish painted the welcome banner for me and Lincoln added his artistic flair with race cars and Rocky had fun doodling with the paint.
So when all "the boys" arrived they got to paint their cars with sponges. I say boys because Lincoln told me all he wanted at his party were boys, Sierra was the exception and good thing because she was very helpful. We used plastic trash bags so the kids didn't get paint all over themselves.

They played red light, green light. Sierra was the leader.

They played pin the wheel on the race car. Sierra turned them around and guided them to the poster. Daddy drew that awesome race car totally free hand.

The kids got race car corn dogs for lunch with cucumbers for the wheels and watermelon on the side.

They got to beat up a hot wheel car and collect all the candy inside. Yummy!! Lincoln picked out air heads among other goodies.
Is that the cutest face you have ever seen!! Grandma got him the most perfect shirt for his birthday. It's a Miller motorsports park shirt, with a race track and a checkered flag. Daddy got a matching one for his birthday too. This was Lincoln's favorite part of the whole party he told me was opening his presents.

Lincoln wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting so I made a figure 8 cake out of two round cake pans and put green colored coconut around the edges for grass and Lincoln told me later that he wanted the same cake when he turned five but without the coconut. Sorry buddy I should have just used green sprinkles.
Do you think Uncle Norris is excited about the gift he picked out for Lincoln!!! That was Lincoln's favorite present too!
All the parents showed up before the kids got to race their cars, so they did one race around the track before they had to say good-bye. Lincoln and Rocky love their cars and wear them just about everyday!! So I guess it was worth all the work. I couldn't have done it all without the help of Charlene and Trish, they were my lifesavers!! Thanks a bunch!!

I can't believe Lincoln is four, it wasn't that long ago that I held him in my arms for the first time. Now all he thinks about is RACING anything! He loves riding his BMX bike and racing on the track, he loves hot wheels and playing with his little brother Rocky. His favorite color is red! His favorite food is Mac and cheese and noodles with green sauce (pesto). He is so cute when I make a yummy dinner he tells me, "Mommy you are the best cooker ever!" He loves to draw and color. He loves to write letters to people, he squiggles and says out loud what he is writing. He writes his name so perfectly and loves to practice writing all the letters. He loves to play his XBOX, his GP motorcycle game and race car game and he loves to play hot wheels on the computer. I just get him to the website and he navigates it from there. He plays the XBOX games better than I do, which isn't saying much. He loves to read books and he loves to pray to Heavenly Father. He asks Heavenly Father every night to give him good dreams, and he does!! Lincoln is very thoughtful and kind, he is so willing to help and he is very obedient. We love Lincoln and are so grateful our lives are blessed with his presence every day. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle and get cozy with mommy and daddy!! He loves all of his huge family and I'm so thankful for all the love he is given and the many great examples in his life!! Love you Lincoln!!!
