Little Kickers

Image
We signed Rocky up for his first season of AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) I could have totally made that up. I'm not exactly sure what AYSO stands for. But that sounds good to me. Anyway to get him ready we put him in a little kickers class at the soccer center. He is having a lot of fun and is doing great. Love you Mr. Rock!!

Bringing Lucy Home

Image
She is thiiiis big. Oh how fun it was to come home!! I hate sleeping at the hospital that is the worst. I'm sorry but when they come in at two in the morning just to see if I need anything. LEAVE ME ALONE!! Isn't that why I have a nurse button, if I need something I will push the button. Well it was great to be home. And what a homecoming we received. There were balloons, flowers, a banner that said Welcome Home Lucy! The boys drew pictures which were adorable. Rocky is pointing out all the people in our family. Grandma and Aunt Trish were very sweet to go to all the effort to make our homecoming special!! She is one lucky girl to have two big brothers who absolutely adore her!!

The Real Deal

Image
So I went to bed last night thinking that Lucy had decided to stay in there forever. But I was wrong of course. At 2 am I started timing contractions because they seemed close. They were between 3 and 4 minutes apart. So I thought well maybe this is it but I knew I wanted to wait as long as possible and let people sleep. Rich told me every night, "Just don't do the middle of the night thing again." Well that's just what he got. I got up to go pee at about 2:20 and when I got back in bed I was lying on my back and my contractions had stopped for like 10 minutes, Not again!! So I flipped over on my side to see if they would start again. No sooner had I moved I felt a pop and felt like I wet my pants, which by the way I was extremely used to doing since I had the never ending cough. A cough and nine month pregnant woman doesn't mix well. So I got up and felt leakage all the way to the bathroom. When I sat down on the toilet more liquid came out. My water had broke, w...

Lincoln loves Sports!!

Image
Lincoln has had a few busy Saturdays. He has had two in a row where his t ball game is at 8:30 and his soccer game is at 9. So I'm rushing him out of t ball early to get over to soccer, which he loves!! "Take a knee."

Free season of t-ball

Image
Mr. Rocky turned 4 on March 8, 2011. In order for him to technically get to play t-ball for the city of santa clarita the kids have to be 4 before the end of the year 2010. BUT since Rich is the coach Rocky gets to play for the Dodgers. We had an extra shirt and an extra hat so he fits right in. He loves playing t-ball and is pretty good for his age. He has a really powerful swing and hits the ball right off the t almost every time.

False Labor

I had a doctor appointment yesterday afternoon and Dr. Cooper stripped my membranes he is on call all weekend so it would be very convenient for him and for me to have this little girl. Starting early this morning I was having pretty consistent contractions and very uncomfortable. So I asked Rich to stay home from work. Trisha and Charlene started driving and Brett and Briana are planning on coming up for the weekend because I thought for sure she was coming. Trish and Charlene got in around 4 and my contractions had stopped so Trish said let's start walking. So we went out and started walking up and down Green Crest. We did it three times. Nothing! Saturday morning came and we had to get to t ball by 8:30 so we went out at 8 and walked up and down two times. Nothing! Well not nothing I would have contractions but then they would stop. That whole day we sat around waiting for baby to come. Sunday morning Trisha, Briana and I went out and walked up and down the street 5 times. I was...

Who else loves Legos?

Image
I think legos are the greatest toy ever and my boys do too!! When you first open a new lego set it is so fun to build something and to see it take shape from a hundred random pieces into one awesome toy. Lincoln is getting old enough where he can put them together pretty much on his own. Rocky's favorite thing about legos are the lego guys, he collects them all in a bag and keeps them separate from all the other lego pieces. They keep them entertained for hours!!

Challenger Soccer Clinic

Image
"When you are not practicing, remember, someone somewhere is practicing, and when you meet him he will win." Ed Macauley Well we can't let that happen! Lincoln loves soccer and has gotten really good at it. We signed him up for this six week challenger soccer clinic who hire professional soccer players from England who come over to the US and teach these kids how to play the game. He has loved every minute of it. GO SWEDEN!! Some one on one time with one of the coaches. He was teaching him good technique for shooting the ball. He told us after that Lincoln had the best technique and follow through when shooting the ball then the other kids.

All on two wheels...

Image
Well except me of course being in my ninth month of pregnancy I didn't think it the wisest choice to hop on a bike. This is Rocky's first bike ride and he did awesome!! They made it to the park. Then back to the starting point. Good job my little man what a stud!! Our nightly ritual: go potty, wash hands, brush teeth, get jammies on, read a couple books, say prayers, read scriptures, and sing songs. Some favorites are I am a child of God, I love to see the temple, A child's prayer, Silent Night, I am like a star shining brightly we throw in some others to mix it up a little bit but those are some of the regulars. A little wiped out from his bike ride.

Tooth fairy or Tooth monster?

Image
Well daddy told them the tooth monster would be coming and they thought that was pretty silly. Lincoln's first tooth got yanked out by daddy and he said that didn't even hurt. He was so proud he told everyone that he saw for a week!

Day at the Beach

Image
The daddies went to the Long Beach grand prix so we took the kids to the beach. I think we had way more fun!!

Lucy's Baby Shower

Image
To celebrate the anticipated arrival of our little Lucy my sweet sister Vanessa had a shower for me. If I hadn't had one Lucy would be mistaken for a boy all the time, she would have been forced to wear blue. No I am just very grateful for all that we were given all the beautiful fun clothes and blankies. She is now set for the first year of her life. I have loved all the hand me down clothes also! Well little miss Sierra is now thrilled with the idea of having a baby girl cousin and she is now obsessed with me and my belly. Which is very cute! She made Lucy a blankie that is so soft and cozy that I know she will love it! I was overwhelmed with the support and love from all the wonderful women that came to my shower, what a wonderful day it was!! At 36 Weeks I love you girls!! Amanda would complete the picture, if only she could live closer dang it!!

First beach trip for 2011

Image
We couldn't have had a more beautiful day in Oxnard. The skies were blue and clear and you could see the channel islands perfectly. Lincoln has asked me a few times over the winter when are we going to the beach. So this morning I had Rocky go out and tell him we were going to the beach today and I heard Lincoln say Finally!! He was very excited. Rocky was not digging the sand. He told me he doesn't like the beach because the sand makes him itchy. He was holding his privates the last hour we were there because the sand was irritating. He had fun with Lincoln playing in the water, and playing freeze tag. I had a great time relaxing in my beach chair watching the boys. I LOVE the beach!! Lincoln said he made a sand seat which was just a mound of sand and then he sat on top of it. Silly boys wanted to be right in front of the camera.
