Okay I was tagged a while ago and Rich is gone watching some UFC fights tonight so I have some time to blog. Here we go... 7 Things I can do: 1. I can cook, I told Rich one night this week "I think I am becoming quite the cook!" I am just having a lot more fun with it and I enjoy it more, the boys each pull up a chair and help me well I don't know if help is the right word but we have a good time together!  2. I can speed read, well probably not as fast as some people but I took a class at the community college when I was in high school, well I was forced to by my mother, which totally increased me ability to read fast. Especially if I am having to read a text book, I can just skim the page.   3. I can swim, I would say that I am an average swimmer but it is one form of exercise that I thoroughly enjoy! There is nothing like it, it's quiet, I am completely alone with my thoughts and just the feeling of pulling your body through the water it is exhilarating!!  4. I can...

Family Bike Ride

This afternoon Rich loaded up our bikes up on his truck and we drove down the street to the North Fork trail to go on a little bike ride. It was such a gorgeous day outside we had to get out and do something. Rich and I were going to go on a bike ride up one of the mountains while my mom watched the boys but when I mentioned to Rich if we were going to go on a bike ride Lincoln jumped all over that, he immediately said, "I want to go on a bike ride!" So off we went, Lincoln loves riding his "jump motorcycle bike" and we got on the trail and were riding for a little and up ahead there was a dip in the trail so Rich rode ahead and did a little jump off it. Of course Lincoln followed and loved it, on the up side of the dip when he got to the top he would even raise his body a little like he was jumping. The wheels on his bike are kind of small so he is pedaling like crazy the whole time we are riding. We stopped for water a ton and we didn't go to far because he ha...

The Big Boy Bed

We got Rocky a twin mattress and I finally set it all up with the guard rail on and he has now been sleeping in it for a little over a week. It has not been an easy road with this one, he starts crying the second I turn to leave the room and is out of the bed in another second. A couple times I would lie down with him which was a huge mistake on my part. Now I am trying to reverse that! The last few nights Rich has had to take over for me because my patience has worn very thin. Last night it was after nine before he fell asleep and he was soooo tired. Then he is up between 5:30 and 6:00 which drives me even more insane. I do remember Lincoln going through a wake up early phase so I just keep hoping he will grow out of it soon. Tonight I was standing down the hall from Rocky's bedroom and he got out of bed and came out of his room and I said to him, "Get back in bed!" He turned around and went back in his room and a second later I see the top of his little head peek out of...

The Joy of Children and the Gym

Last week Rich and I went to the gym together for the first time since I don't remember, before we had Lincoln. We used to frequent the gym side by side a lot especially during our glory days doing the Body for Life competition. I went and did the spin class while he lifted and we put the boys in the day care, which was a first for them. I don't have a gym pass so I just went as my mom. In the class I was having the time of my life working out with no children until some nasty song came on. I guess I'm not up to date on my music but it was some girl singing saying she had kissed a girl and she liked it. WHAT!?! As soon as I realized what the lyrics were actually saying I got off my bike and left. Luckily the class only had fifteen minutes left so I went in the weight room and did my favorite machines, that I miss so very much, the inner and outer thigh machines. So we were heading back to the day care when one of the ladies was coming to find us. She said, "The older o...

Beautiful Art

For Christmas Hattie, Lincoln's cousin gave her this kit to paint a race car and then you get to glue it all together. While Rocky was taking a nap I laid out a big piece of paper on the table and let him paint while I started dinner. He was in heaven, absolutely loved it! Thanks Hattie for the fun present. Now Lincoln wants to paint Rocky's and his daddy's as well! He will be a good little helper!

The Happiest Place on Earth!!

We are so lucky to have Disneyland passes and get to go frequently, and this time daddy came with us which was so fun! We first went and watched the Playhouse Disney show which my kids never watch any of the shows on Playhouse Disney because we don't have cable, but they were still entertained. We also went to the Jedi Training Academy show but Lincoln and Nixon didn't want to get up and volunteer they just wanted to watch. He said, "Maybe next year!" We are waiting in line for the Toy Story ride, my new favorite!! You wear these 3-D glasses and then on the ride you shoot at targets and everything is 3-D, it is so fun!! One of Lincoln's favorite rides is Autopia, the race cars! He loves it and every time we are in line he says he wants a red one, you don't get to pick though so he was a lucky little guy! Lincoln also went on Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Star Tours for the first time. He loved Star Tours but on Space Mountain afterwards he said, "T...
