The Joy of Children and the Gym
Last week Rich and I went to the gym together for the first time since I don't remember, before we had Lincoln. We used to frequent the gym side by side a lot especially during our glory days doing the Body for Life competition. I went and did the spin class while he lifted and we put the boys in the day care, which was a first for them. I don't have a gym pass so I just went as my mom. In the class I was having the time of my life working out with no children until some nasty song came on. I guess I'm not up to date on my music but it was some girl singing saying she had kissed a girl and she liked it. WHAT!?! As soon as I realized what the lyrics were actually saying I got off my bike and left. Luckily the class only had fifteen minutes left so I went in the weight room and did my favorite machines, that I miss so very much, the inner and outer thigh machines. So we were heading back to the day care when one of the ladies was coming to find us. She said, "The older one peed and the younger one won't stop crying." Oh great!! I didn't have a change of clothes because that just doesn't happen anymore. He must have been having a lot of fun to not go to the bathroom. So we went in and I took Lincoln to the bathroom and took off his wet clothes and as I was taking off his clothes he said, "Mommy can I go play some more, I didn't get to play for a long time." He was devastated that we had to leave, there was still so much to do. Rocky is just a wreck, what more can I say! It was a fun and eventful experience, I did get a great work out!!
