The Big Boy Bed

We got Rocky a twin mattress and I finally set it all up with the guard rail on and he has now been sleeping in it for a little over a week. It has not been an easy road with this one, he starts crying the second I turn to leave the room and is out of the bed in another second. A couple times I would lie down with him which was a huge mistake on my part. Now I am trying to reverse that! The last few nights Rich has had to take over for me because my patience has worn very thin. Last night it was after nine before he fell asleep and he was soooo tired. Then he is up between 5:30 and 6:00 which drives me even more insane. I do remember Lincoln going through a wake up early phase so I just keep hoping he will grow out of it soon. Tonight I was standing down the hall from Rocky's bedroom and he got out of bed and came out of his room and I said to him, "Get back in bed!" He turned around and went back in his room and a second later I see the top of his little head peek out of his room and then disappear. He did that twice, then daddy went over and when he saw him he started crying and running to me like I would save him. Sorry!! He knows there is no fooling around with daddy when it comes to bed time. I sat in our bedroom and waited a few minutes later Rich came back and there was no noise. He told me that he gave him a blessing and he had fallen asleep during it. So sweet!! There is nothing like receiving a blessing through the power of the priesthood! We had a brief discussion that the boys really should be receiving father's blessings even at their young age, you really cannot have to many! I feel so blessed to have my wonderful, adoring husband in my life and that he honors his priesthood. I love you so much my love!!
