Rocky's first set of stitches!

Image
The boys were jumping around on the couch which is not out of the ordinary when all of a sudden Lincoln gives Rocky a little shove and Rocky goes head first into the wood frame of the ottoman. He starts wailing immediately and then once he sees the blood on his glasses and face it got noticably louder. Then when we said we had to go to the doctor and have him look at it the crying turned into hysteria. He did NOT want to go to the doctor. It was about seven in the evening so Rich stayed home with Lincoln and I took Rocky over to the instacare. They took us back into a room only for the doctor to come in and tell us he couldn't do it, and we had to go to the ER because he was to young. So they changed the bandaid and we headed over to the hospital. We went in, registered and waited. We only had to wait about 20 minutes before they called Rockwell back. We went into the room with the nurse and she put the little thing with the red light on his finger. Not sure what that checks. Then ...

Dodgers Game 2

Lincoln is absolutely loving t-ball, this week before practice we were at Grammy's house and he got an owie on the back of his ankle. I put a bandaid on it and then we left for practice. The whole way there he was whining that he couldn't practice because his owie hurt. We got to the park, I put his shoes on and got him out of the car and he went running over to his team and started running bases with them. Jake and Rich are doing such a great job with the kids, it's been fun that they can do it together and Ashton and Lincoln can be on the same team. Viva los dodgers!!! Oh so close Lincoln, nice try buddy!! Dane's mom April is our team mom and she does such a great job organizing the kids in the dugout. We watch some of the other teams and they look like a mess with no organization. She is the perfect team mom!!

Vasquez Rocks

The great Newhall 2nd ward had a fun activity planned for out at vasquez rocks. I have lived my whole life twenty minutes away and have never been out there before. We pass by it every time we drive up the 14 freeway. The rock formations are awesome, maybe I thought seeing them from the freeway was good enough. The boys had so much fun, climbing on rocks, jumping off of rocks and all the games and activities our activities committee provided. It was a great ward activity!! See that big rock behind them... we climbed all the way to the tippy top. It's a lot steeper than it looks! Cousin (Uncle) James came with us which was very fun!! WE MADE IT!! I told Lincoln to do a scared face on the way down. It was pretty scary, it would only take one little slip. Daddy had a hold of Rocky and James had a hold of Lincoln, while I took pictures.

Lincoln's First T-ball Game

Looking good Linc!! Making sure the kids are stretched out before the big opening game. We got Lincoln some sweet cleats. I took him over to Dick's and there were two pairs that would work and one was under armour, and the other was adidas. They were both black and white. So I asked Lincoln which ones he wanted and he pointed at the adidas ones. Curious I asked why and he said because they have those cool silver stripes on the side! Coach Jake and Coach Rich Lincoln was so cute talking to the other kids and making friends. Ashton is on the same team and then two boys from our ward, Dane Lawler and Max McKeon. So I loved seeing Lincoln being nice to some of the other boys too, talking and laughing!! Nice game boys! In t-ball they don't technically keep score but we secretly count the outs and we won baby!!

Antelope Valley Poppy Fields are in Bloom!!

Image
Last year we went to the poppy fields at the end of the season and it was pretty pathetic. So this year I took my preschool class at peak season and it was beautiful. It wasn't a great year but it was 100x better than last year. The kids had fun walking the paths and going in the visitor center to see what kind of animals live in the desert. Then on our way home we stopped at McDonalds for lunch and let the kids play for awhile. A successful field trip!!

Easter

Image
Easter this year fell on general conference weekend which was great! We didn't have to feel rushed to get ready for church or anything, I loved it! Brett, Briana and the boys stayed the night at our house which was fun also! Lincoln was so excited when he saw his easter basket filled with fun things. He got stickers for his book of mormon, hot wheels cars, and race car pajamas. What an awesome easter bunny, if I do say so myself!!! Rocky... not so thrilled!! He got cars movie card games, hot wheels cars, scooby doo pajamas, and a new dodger shirt to wear to the dodger games!! He is definitely our pouter. I think he was mad because I wouldn't carry him down the stairs, he got over it very quickly... as you can see!!! We don't have cable so we always head over to my mom and Chris' house to watch general conference. So yesterday after conference we died hard boiled eggs with the kids for the easter egg hunt at Grammy and Grampy's house!! So fun!! Nixon wanted to be...

The Huntington Library

We went to the Huntington in Pasadena with a big group from Valencia 1st ward. It was on their free day for the month. The kids had a ton of fun just running around. The children's garden was awesome and we had a great time.
