Antelope Valley Poppy Fields are in Bloom!!

Last year we went to the poppy fields at the end of the season and it was pretty pathetic. So this year I took my preschool class at peak season and it was beautiful. It wasn't a great year but it was 100x better than last year. The kids had fun walking the paths and going in the visitor center to see what kind of animals live in the desert. Then on our way home we stopped at McDonalds for lunch and let the kids play for awhile. A successful field trip!!

We got a special treat for Easter!

No it's not the bunny lollipops! Uncle Norris and Aunt Brenna!! We got to spend Easter morning with them before they left on their cruise!! Papa made Mount O Eggs, which was as always unbelievable!! Totally thought I was going to have an Easter baby. Went out to Aunt Ruth and Uncle Randy's house for dinner! Proud mommy moment

Lincoln read his first whole chapter from the book of Mormon this evening. Alma chapter 29. I love verse 1, which says... "O that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I may go forth and speak with the trump of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people!" I LOVE my children, they are remarkable, amazing little spirits and I am grateful I have the privilege to be called their mother I just pray that I can live worthy of that holy calling.
