Books for 2011

Books read in January: Promise Me by Richard Paul Evans I was given this book for Christmas from my mother in law so while we were in Utah visiting I decided to read it. I can't rember the last novel I read and I used to be an avid reader. I love to read and get lost in a really good book. This book definitely kept my interest and made me want to keep reading but was it a really good book, no not really. Not a book I would pick up to read again. It had a weird twist at the end that made all the reality of the book disappear. Anyway what this book did do is spark my enthusiasm and love for reading again. I have told myself over and over that I am to busy to read anything other than my scriptures. But I made a new years resolution to read whenever I have a chance. So far I think I have done pretty good. So I will keep you updated on the books that I am reading throughout the year. We got a special treat for Easter!

No it's not the bunny lollipops! Uncle Norris and Aunt Brenna!! We got to spend Easter morning with them before they left on their cruise!! Papa made Mount O Eggs, which was as always unbelievable!! It was sprinkling a little bit so the Easter bunny was running a little late but he showed up eventually. Having contractions off and on all day today. Totally thought I was going to have an Easter baby. Went out to Aunt Ruth and Uncle Randy's house for dinner! Had a fun time goofing off with all the cousins and family, it's always fun when we all get together!! We are so blessed to have such a large wonderful family! We have our issues as any family does but I love it!! Why do we celebrate Easter? Proud mommy moment

Lincoln read his first whole chapter from the book of Mormon this evening. Alma chapter 29. I love verse 1, which says... "O that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I may go forth and speak with the trump of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people!" I LOVE my children, they are remarkable, amazing little spirits and I am grateful I have the privilege to be called their mother I just pray that I can live worthy of that holy calling. It has begun...

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with strep throat. The last time I had strep two years ago I broke out with guttate psoriasis over my entire body. I was hopeful that it wouldn't reoccur but it is definitely making itself known. I hope I can stay on top of it with diet and lotions. But I just want to document its progression. Last time it started on my back and stomach and spread. This time around it started on my legs and arms and is starting to spread everywhere. Towsley Canyon

I decided to take the kids on the two mile loop up towsley canyon after school. We had ashton and Sierra which made it really fun!! It was really hot and at the start of our hike I got nervous about rattlesnakes. So sierra said a prayer and then we sang songs really loud to scare them off. We didnt encounter any snakes and when we got back to the car Lincoln said a prayer to thank heavenly father for keeping us safe. We had a great time climbing up and over the mountain :) Taking a break at an oak tree close to the top. It says 1.9 mile loop but from car to car the app on my phone said 2.53.
