Pumpkin Carving!!

Image
This is the easy part! We solicited help from Lincoln and Nixon to dig out all the "yucky stuff" Not that they accomplished much but they had fun for a minute!! Look at this darling little boy, Aunt Briana gave Rocky a hair cut! He wasn't very happy about it but he survived! Brenna's dad Rush was overseeing our work! Until I got distracted getting the kids ready and he got stuck finishing my spiderweb design! Brenna carved a pirate ship and mine is a spider web with a spider. We attached those paper designs and now I have a lot more appreciation for the people that carve intricate pumpkins on Halloween. It was way harder than it looks and I didn't even do the whole thing! My hand was cramping after the first five minutes. They turned out pretty cute though!!

The Reward!!

Image
Trick or Treating is hard work, but it's worth it! The boys are enjoying yummy fruit snacks! The next day Rich was digging in Lincoln's bag for candy and he said "I'm sure glad the boys went trick or treating!" He's already eaten most of their candy! HaHaHa! He says he eats it for the boys because it's not good for them! Yeah right!!

My Boys!!

Image
I asked Rich to dress up with the boys since he has the same jersey as Lincoln. He went far beyond my expectations, he even put on Uncle Shane's pads and helmet! Looking good love!! Lincoln and Nixon stopped dead in their tracks when they saw Uncle Norris sitting on the driveway. He was so scary!! Lincoln was getting tired after the first few streets so then Uncle Norris started carrying him around!! What a nice Uncle!! Lincoln, Nixon and Ashton!! Best Buds!!

Halloween 2008

What cute kids! Lincoln had his football outfit that he got for Christmas last year so he was a football player and then we had the extra jersey so Rocky was a football player too. I wasn't going to buy a costume for him when he probably wouldn't even want to wear it. Ashton was going to be a knight because he wanted to have a helmet to wear, so when Lincoln said he was going to be a football player Ashton changed his mind because football players wear helmets too. Nixon is Evil Kenevil, the boys all loved his racing helmet! Sierra is Giselle from the movie Enchanted, she looked gorgeous! Brenna is a kitty cat, and Norris is the Joker! Rocky loves saying "Cheese"!  There's my awesome football players! I custom made the DUNN letters on the back of Rocky's jersey, it came with a set of iron on numbers so I used two of the numbers and then from the other numbers I cut out the letters. It turned out so cute! Rocky was having so much fun trick or treating. The firs...

Uncle Shane's Football Game!!

Image
Rocky likes to throw little tantrums, where he throws himself flat on the ground either on his back or tummy whichever is more convenient. It usually only lasts a minute and then he gets up and starts playing again. He is so funny!! Uncle Norris and Aunt Brenna came in town from Utah for Halloween. It was so fun having them here, we've missed them since they moved up there. The kids just love them!! Rocky was running straight for me, look at how long his hair is I think it's time for a hair cut!! This is Briana riding Nixon's tiny bike. It was hilarious!!! They also came up from Irvine and stayed for the weekend, so so fun!!! This is Shane's freshman year of high school football and he is doing so awesome!! It is so fun to go to his games and watch him play and do so well!! It is one of the highlights of our week going to Uncle Shane's football games on Thursday afternoons!! Go Shane, Go HART!!!

Protesting in support of Proposition 8!

Image
We are at one of the big rally's to support prop. 8! We have had many volunteers give of their time to help this cause. Make phone calls, go door to door, and out waving signs. We just want to make sure everyone knows what they are voting for and the difference between a yes vote and a no vote! What we are working towards is keeping the institution of marriage the way it has been since the beginning of time, between a man and a woman! That is the way God intended it! Our goal is not to take away anybody's rights, I wish all people to have the same rights as I have! A heterosexual relationship is different than a homosexual relationship so why can't we just call it something different? I heard this somewhere and I know I am saying it wrong but here goes...  If you call a dog's tail a leg how many legs does a dog have?     The answer is four, just because you call the tail a leg doesn't make it one!!  Marriage is a divine institution created for a man and a woman to p...

Having Fun!!!

Image
The kids were hanging out in the car and Sierra asked her mom to open the sunroof, the moment she did Lincoln found a way to be up inside of it.  This is a regular occurence in grammy and grampy's front yard they run around and around in circles around the aspen tree. Lincoln is concentrating really hard. Look close at his face!! These guys love having numbers on their shirts. Lincoln's favorite shirts either have a number on it or a race car.  Sierra and baby Blake!!

More Pumpkin Patch Pics...

Image
Aunt Vanessa or "Sessa" babysitts baby Blake Brixey two days a week so we get to see him lots and all the kids just love him!! They have an area with a bunch of farm animals, they have cows, chickens, turkeys, sheep, a goat, a llama, and these two crazy pigs!! These pigs were jumping on each other, running around in circles and rolling around in the mud. It was fun to see them so active. Rocky just loves animals so he was having a blast!! Here he is watching the turkeys and chickens I think!! There is the fun choo choo train it goes around the sunflower scarecrow alley. We just finished walking through scarecrow alley where groups of people in the community create and enter their scarecrow or as Lincoln calls them "scary crows" into a contest!

Lombardi's Pumpkin Patch!

Image
Going to Lombardi's has been a tradition in our family since before I can remember. It is so much fun for these kids! When we got there they were all over the place going from one thing to the next. Here is the giant pumpkin and they have two or three of these around the ranch! This is a big police truck. Rocky climbed in and got right behind the wheel, He was so excited! On top of the hay pyramid!! The boys were having fun climbing up on this hay wall walking around it jumping off and then starting the cycle all over again! My favorite part of Lombardi's is buying some of their fresh picked corn on the cob. Picked just that morning!! Yum yum!! :)

Playing at Grammy and Grampy's!!

Image
Lincoln built this awesome train track all by himself! He was so proud!! From one minute.... to the next!!

We just love bathtime!!

Image
Lincoln ran face first into the slide at the park by Nixon's house. There was blood all over his chin! We were driving home later that night and Lincoln said "Dad there is no more blood!"

Day Trip to Irvine!!

Image
We went down to Brett and Briana's to help them move from their apartment on the second floor to the apartment right below them on the first floor. Which will be great for them!! Aunt Amy came over and they just got two little puppies so the three boys were having so much fun feeding the doggies. Rocky just loved those dogs he was chasing them around everywhere. I don't think the puppies felt the same way about him. He's not very gentle.  Here's Grammy with little baby Rossi! He is just so adorable!! Rocky loves to walk through all the plants since they are all about his same size!!
