Magic Mountain

Image
We had season passes this year so we thought we would go on one more excursion to Magic Mountain. Grandma, Grandpa and Trisha were here so we thought that would be a fun thing to go do with them. Grandpa was going to go on the tea cups with Lincoln but adults were not allowed on. So Lincoln went with these two bigger kids who hogged the wheel and went really fast. We were all laughing because there were points that I thought Lincoln looked like he was going to puke. I don't think he was to excited to ride with these kids. Grandma and Grandpa watched the boys while we went on Goliath, my favorite ride, so when we got back we caught them on the monster trucks. Lucky Lincoln got the red one, he always asks if he can go on the red monster truck. Lincoln had never wanted to go on the tweety bird cages but this time he went with Aunt Trish and loved it. This is the rollercoaster in the kiddie area and it is fun! They let you go around two times and Lincoln wanted to go both times. We t...

Christmas Morning

Image
Christmas morning we told Grandma and Grandpa to be over to the house by seven and we will wait to start until they got there. Well Rocky decided to wake up at about 6:30 and so I took him in Lincoln's room and turned on Beauty and the Beast, I fell back asleep and then Rich came upstairs to get us after seven and Lincoln was still asleep so we just woke him up and said, "Hey Lincoln Santa came last night." He was kind of in a daze but very excited!! Here is Lincoln's dazed expression, he was looking at his Tyrranasaurus Rex that Santa brought him but he wasn't quite awake yet. So daddy went over to show him how it worked and wake him up a bit. Rocky was a little overwhelmed so he started crying and wasn't to sure what to think of all of it!! Opening the stockings was fun, last year Lincoln flipped his stocking upside down and shook it until everything fell out. This year he pulled out one thing at a time and each time he pulled something out he got so excite...

Christmas Eve

Image
Our family Christmas picture in front of our tree! Growing up we always did the nativity with the kids and read about Christ's birth from the Bible. This year I wanted to do something a little bit more, so I put together a program incorporating songs in between verses of scripture. Since I was technically in charge I was supposed to decide which one of these beautiful little girls got to be Mary, because they both wanted to be Mary. So instead of breaking one of their hearts I decided what the heck they can both be Mary. It was actually really sweet and after the program was over my Granny Ann said to me that it was the most precious thing seeing the two Mary's both holding a baby Jesus. The evening was wonderful, it was so great to be with family celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. The true meaning of Christmas!! Rocky came and went while the kids made their way out. Here he is helping me with the program! What's next Rocky? Lincoln, Ashton and Timmy were the...

Goofing off at Hart!

Image
Lincoln likes to go off little jumps so he attempted to go over this rubber mat but it didn't work very well. In our back yard he will find sticks and put them on the track and he goes over them like it is a jump. He just thinks it is so awesome!! We went over to Hart so Hattie could practice riding her bike without training wheels. She was riding like a pro in about a half hour. Rich brought the football and we got Norris and Shane to go so they were running patterns and throwing the ball around. Then Rich brought his gas powered remote control car and totally wrecked it. It flew like 20 feet in the air and when it came down it went into pieces. Good one honey!! Uncle Shane playing with Rocky! These two Camille and Rocky had so much fun together, she's pushing Rocky and whenever she would stop Rocky would look back at her. I'm sure he was thinking "Why did you stop?" All four of the kids got along really well all week it was loud at our house but I don't re...

Making Gingerbread Houses!!

Image
Chris and Heather came down early for Christmas so the girls went with us to decorate gingerbread houses. Here we are loaded up in the Montero on our way to Granny Annies house! You can spot Rocky on the far side of the table he sat there for awhile not decorating a single thing, he just pounded down as much candy as he could get his hands on. Getting Lincoln to smile for the camera was like pulling teeth so this is what we got out of him, I think he was a little distracted with all the goodies as well. Here is Hattie and Heather (#3 girl due the day after Rocky's b-day.)

Annual Gingerbread Houses

Vanessa and Tay working on her gingerbread house. Briana, not afraid to get her hands dirty! She seemed a little stressed but was having a good time!! Look at that masterpiece! The happy couple, I wish I had a picture of Norris two story awesome house, he could have had it at the festival of trees auction it was unbelievable! Lincoln's finished product with some help from mom, it turned out cute, I did a cheez-it roof on top and a chimney out of caramel squares (that one was granny's idea). So fun!!
