Our Future Downhill Racer

Image
At the park there was this trail coming down the hill that went to the playground so Lincoln pushed his bike up the trail and came speeding down it. He even started to do a speed wobble he was going so fast! I know we forgot his helmet we are horrible parents! Ashton was going down it with Lincoln and they were both having so much fun. Lincoln thought it was a race track!

Sorry I was a little picture happy at the park so I have a ton and they are all so cute so I'm having to pick and choose. Lincoln was filling up the dump truck and running it across the playground and then dumping it out. So fun!! It's a rare occasion when daddy gets to go to the park with us, and daddy is so fun getting up on the playground and playing with the kids. He's such a great daddy and the boys just adore him!! Rocky saw the other boys climbing up this so he thinks, why can't I? So of course he climbs it no problem, our baby is growing up! :( Here is my cutest cousin Jessica and Junior. Junior loved Lincoln's bike he could obviously tell that it looks like a motorcycle. Just like his daddy!!  Rich brought his gas powered remote control car, Rocky thought that was pretty cool. Every time something would happen to it and the boys would run over to fix it he was always right there watching.

THE Tongue!!

Image
We met up with the Lawrence's at the park over Thanksgiving weekend. Amanda was in town so she was there with her kids, Vanessa and her kids, Briana and her kids and then us. It was so fun!! Rocky was loving the playground and the slides. He was doing this with his tongue almost the whole time he was playing!!! What a funny kid!!

Nixon and Rocky were having so much fun watching the remote control race car and running in the leaves!

Rocky's Room (Before & After)

Image
In Rocky's room we closed off the closet and made the closet bigger in the other bedroom and then we added a closet on the left wall. Then there was this unused attic space so we opened it up and now the kids have a fun little space to play they love it!! Rocky loved Curious George so I decided to do a jungle theme and then I added George on the wall. He turned out so cute!!

Lincoln's Room (Before & After)

Image
So you can see in the right side of this picture there is a little window. We bumped that wall out about six feet to make the room bigger, and to add some dimension to the exterior of the house. We got Lincoln this race car bed on E-bay and so I decided to paint a race track around the perimeter of the room. There are still some finishing touches that I haven't gotten around to painting. One of these days.... This is my favorite part of his room. The checker flag. Lincoln says it's because he's the winner! He absolutely loves his race car room and his race car bed, it's so fun. So now we just need to keep our eyes open for another race car bed for Rocky!!

About my mommy, through Lincoln's eyes...

Okay, so now I am copying my sister Briana who had this on her blog who saw it on her sister-in-laws blog. It was really fun asking Lincoln these questions and he had fun too! He kept wanting me to ask another one. So here goes... Mommy: What do I always say to you? Lincoln: Hmmmm...Hmmmm I don't know?? Mommy: What makes me happy? Lincoln: He did a huge smile and held that for a minute and then he said "Sharing with Rocky!" Mommy: What makes me sad or mad? Lincoln: Not sharing!! Then he did his mad face and growled! Mommy: What do I do to make you laugh? Lincoln: Pushing me down on the pillows. Mommy: How old am I? Lincoln: Um this many! (held up five fingers) Mommy: How tall am I? Lincoln: This Big! (He raised both hands up in the air and stood up on his tip toes) Mommy: What do I like to do? Lincoln: Staying with me. Racing cars with me! Mommy: What is my job? Lincoln: Working. Mommy: Where do I work? Lincoln: Right in our house. Mommy: What is my favorite food? Lincoln...

CHIC!!

Image
A lady in my valley recently started up a group called CHIC (Children Helping In Communities). So for our first project we went over to Summerhill Villa and decorated little pine cone turkeys with the residents in the memory care building. That is where my Nana is living right now. We got there and she was asleep in one of the chairs. She ended up waking up right before we left so we got to visit for a minute! She loves seeing the little kids and receiving all the hugs and kisses! This is Dorothy, she was the cutest little old lady and loved making these turkeys. She was helping Lincoln, it was so adorable!! I think Lincoln made the one with the red head in the front. He made a few other ones as well. It was a really fun activity and hopefully being involved in this group will instill a spirit of service in Lincoln, and Rocky (when he gets a little older).

Lincoln 100% riding on his own!!

Festival of Trees!

Image
We went to the annual festival of trees at the Hyatt. It is a fundraiser for the boys and girls club. Santa was there so Lincoln got to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas he was so excited. He told Santa he wants a jump race car for Christmas. Then after Santa gave the kids a candy cane I said, "Okay Lincoln say Bye to Santa let's go." Then he looked at me and said "But mom." Then he looked like he was going to cry so I picked him up and walked out of the tent and then he let it go and started crying. He was trying to tell me something but I couldn't understand him because he was crying so I said "Stop crying so I can understand you." He stopped crying and said, "But mom I want my present!" I forgot to prep him that Santa doesn't give you a present right then and there. So I told him that he needed to tell Santa and then he has to go back to the north pole and make all the presents with his elves and then Santa will bring it on Ch...

Sierra's Play!

Image
My niece Sierra was in a play at her school, The Five Chinese Brothers, I couldn't understand most of it but Sierra did AWESOME! She was a narrator so she had quite a few lines and she knew all of them! She spoke loud and clear, we were all very proud of her! Good job Sierra!! I love you!! Here she is saying one of her lines, she was so cute when she was talking, she would brush her hair behind her ears and cock her head to the side. She was adorable! Sierra with some fellow drama classmates!!

Uncle Shane's Game!

Image
This was Uncle Shane's last football game of the season. :( We are sad that we don't have a weekly game to go to. Uncle Shane had a great season and we look forward to next year!! Good job Shane, you are the man!! My boys like to climb on anything and everything, it is just so much fun! They spotted James' motorcycle from a mile away! Can you say heaven, for all three of them!!

Playing at Uncle Shane's Football Game!

Image
Rocky making a funny face, which he does often!! Lincoln has to wear his football uniform to the football game. Last weeks game I made him wear jeans because it was cold and he had a total meltdown after I put his jeans on. He kept saying over and over, "Football players don't wear jeans!" As he is sobbing his eyes out! So this week it was pretty nice out so he got to wear his whole uniform. He loves it!! Lincoln hasn't had his training wheels on for over a week he is loving it. I was following them around the track because when he stops he can't start by himself yet. There were these two ladies on the opposing teams side that were freaking out. One of them asked me "How old is he?" So I told her he is three and she was like, "No way, he's three that is unbelievable!" It is pretty cool, Lincoln is a little stud what more can I say!"

Funny Story!!

So one day last week we were home in the evening and Rich was taking a shower upstairs and I was cleaning up downstairs, so the two boys made their way upstairs and I could here them up there bugging their dad but I thought oh their fine! So I continued cleaning up the kitchen. Then Rich comes downstairs with both the boys. He's all bugged because he thought I was down here "blogging"! I take a look at Lincoln and could see why he was bugged, Lincoln had got into my mascara and had it all over his face! We were going over to my moms and so as we were getting ready to go we are bickering back and forth about nothing and Rocky needed some pants on so Rich grabbed what was nearest and put them on. I looked over and started laughing hysterically! He had put on baby Rossi's pants that Briana had forgotten to take home. (12 month size, and he's wearing 2T) He looked so funny!! Then when we were putting the kids in the car I got a good look at Lincoln's face and I st...

At Home Barbershop!!

Image
Here's the last pic I took of Lincoln's long beautiful blonde hair!! I asked him if he liked his long hair and in the past he always says yes. But this time he said, "No I don't like it, I want to cut it like daddy's." Then he said, "Mommy I won't cry!" He had just witnessed Rocky's hair cut and Rocky was freaking out!! So....two days later we got out the clippers!! Daddy did a great job and Lincoln was so brave!! He kept scratching at his neck we didn't think to put a towel around his neck until we were almost done. Lincoln loves his new "short cut"!! (That's what he calls it.) They look like twins!!

Lincoln Logs!!

Image
These two pictures were taken in January 2008. Rocky was about ten months old and Lincoln would race around with the push toy and then he wanted me to push Rocky in the box. We were having such a good time! Rocky would just laugh the whole time he was being pushed! These two pictures are current. Rocky likes climbing in the box while Lincoln builds his houses. Lincoln is really into building things, he loves his Lincoln logs and his wooden blocks, it's nice to see him interested in something other than race cars! So then Lincoln climbed in the box because he saw me taking pictures of Rocky and he wanted me to take a picture of him too! You don't have to ask me twice!!

Rocky Baby!!

Image
This little guy is so much fun! When he does something funny I will point at him and say, "You're so funny!" Then he points back and says, "You funny!" Then we repeat back and forth and he loves it! Sometimes when I am putting him to bed at night I will hold him while I sing to him and other times I lay him in his crib and sing to him. One of my favorite things in the world is while I am singing if I am holding him he will out of nowhere pick his head up look at me and give me a big kiss! :) I just love it. A few times I have been singing to him by his crib and he is laying down and then he will stand up and give me a kiss and then plop back down on his bed. He just loves to be cuddled and show affection. Nixon accidentally left his helmet at our house so the boys had some fun with it for a few days!! Rocky loved putting it on and didn't even care when it was on backwards! What a goof!! What a happy, content boy! some days I wish I could be two again and pl...
