Festival of Trees!

We went to the annual festival of trees at the Hyatt. It is a fundraiser for the boys and girls club. Santa was there so Lincoln got to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas he was so excited. He told Santa he wants a jump race car for Christmas. Then after Santa gave the kids a candy cane I said, "Okay Lincoln say Bye to Santa let's go." Then he looked at me and said "But mom." Then he looked like he was going to cry so I picked him up and walked out of the tent and then he let it go and started crying. He was trying to tell me something but I couldn't understand him because he was crying so I said "Stop crying so I can understand you." He stopped crying and said, "But mom I want my present!" I forgot to prep him that Santa doesn't give you a present right then and there. So I told him that he needed to tell Santa and then he has to go back to the north pole and make all the presents with his elves and then Santa will bring it on Christmas Eve to our house while you are sleeping. So then he was fine and understood. So I thought. The next morning he woke up and came downstairs and said, "Mom I think I need to go back to sleep so Santa can come bring my present." Ha Ha! Lincoln you are precious, I love you!! 

Here you can see Lincoln is waiting for his present! I didn't understand what he was doing when I took the picture but that is exactly what he was doing!

Rocky liked these little reindeer. The kids had fun looking at all the decorated christmas trees and they absolutely loved the gingerbread houses. People decorate and donate christmas trees and gingerbread houses and then the festival auctions them off and all the profit goes to the boys and girls club. It is a really fun fundraiser!!
