Disneyland Fun!

Image
| ` Norris and Brenna were in town for a week and wanted to go to Disneyland so we decided to go and daddy took the day off to come with us which was so fun. We rented a wheelchair for me and I got pushed around all day, due to the stress fracture in my hip. I was training for the LA  marathon and about two weeks ago was having excruciating pain in my groin area, after talking to a few people and researching online I came to the conclusion that was the only thing it could be, which sucks I went from totally enjoying running for the first time in my life to hardly being able to walk around my house. It's getting better but Rich said the only way wE Would go to Disneyland is if I rented a wheelchair. Anyway it was a fun day, we went to California Adventure and then we went over to Disneyland and Brenna got caught trying to get in with Tori's pass. So then we left and went to Brett and Briana's house and bar-b-qued some hamburgers and hot dogs, so yummy. Then we watched Yes M...

First Swim of the Year

Image
Most mornings I make myself an Isagenix shake and the boys love them so I give them each a little bit in a cup. It's so good for them, with the shake I usually throw in a BIG handful of spinach and a banana. The spinach is tasteless so they don't even know the difference. They are showing me their milkshake mustache's. We went swimming at a friend of ours house and they had a couple extra life jackets, it took a minute for Lincoln to get used to it but he loved swimming with it on and he could actually swim using his arms, it was awesome! Last summer he just used the arm floaties and it restricts the movement in his arms so he doesn't learn how to use his arms. Anyway we are going to go over to walmart and find a life jacket

Lincoln is hilarious!! Here are some of the funny things he's said recently...

We were eating dinner one night last week and daddy grabbed a baggy of jelly beans out of the pantry when he was done eating. We told Lincoln he could have some if he ate all his dinner and then I started eating a couple. Then he says to me, "Hey you ate the red ones because I love the red ones!" Then a minute later, he bursts out, "STOP EATING THE RED ONES! Eat the yellow ones!" Lately he's been very concerned with having bad dreams, he will say to me when I'm putting him to bed, "mommy don't let me have bad dreams." Then the other day we were driving home, here is our conversation... L: I'm going to have a dream about going to Grandma's house. M: That would be a good dream. We like having good dreams! L: Yeah, dreams about houses, and race cars, and go-carts, and motorcycles, and jump motorcycles, and 4-wheelers, and space ships, and rockets, and monster trucks. Daddy and I were cracking up we thought the list would never end.  Anothe...

So Fun!

Image
Daddy was out doing all the yard work and had decided to clean off the patio. It gets covered in oak leaves from our neighbors oak tree. There was quite a buildup of leaves so the boys were out playing while daddy cleaned up the patio. I had left a large container of bubbles in the back and Rocky got them open and spilled half of them on the concrete. When daddy hosed off the patio there were bubbles everywhere and they were having a blast. When they came inside there clothes were soaking wet, so I stripped them down to their undies. Lincoln is wearing his new Darth Vader undies that the easter bunny brought him. He loves them, he wanted to be Darth Vader for Halloween but now he wants to be a Red Power Ranger. He sees Darth Vader at the Jedi Training Academy at Disneyland and he loves all the bad guys. Anyway so then daddy started sprayed the window to scare them and it sure did. But then it turned into a ton of fun!!

Goofing off at home!!

Image
The boys were being so funny just running back and forth through the kitchen into the family room with their fireman hats! They thought it was so funny because when they would start running the hats would fly off of their heads. Lincoln is so strong, he can pick up Rocky all by himself, they both think it's pretty cool. Easter

Image
I just love Easter, it is such a wonderful holiday celebrating our savior and his resurrection. The time of year is so beautiful when everything is starting to blossom and grow, everything is receiving it's new life, just as our savior conquered death. It brings me hope and peace in my life. I know our Savior lives and suffered for us that we may one day live again with him and our Father in Heaven!! About a month or so before Easter we were watching home videos because I didn't have most of them labeled so we were going through all of them labeling them and then we watched last year's easter egg hunt Lincoln got all excited and wanted to know when Easter was coming. So I told him, but he doesn't really get the time thing yet. So everyday he would ask me when Easter was coming. So we finally made one of those ring things with paper and then he got to rip one ring off everyday. That was the first one we have made and it works like a charm. Everyday he would pull one off ...

Egg Hunt at the Lawrence's

Image
We went out to my Aunt Ruth and Uncle Randy's house for Easter this year. My Aunt Rosie was in town from Georgia and my cousin Christy was in town from Colorado. They were visiting my other cousin Stacey who just had her third baby. They live out in Lancaster and we never see them either. So everyone was there and it was so great to visit and catch up. We had the yummiest dinner with ham from Honeybaked, I made mustard ring to accompany the ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans with a honey mustard sauce, salad, raspberry pretzel jello, rolls, jello jigglers, and I also made deviled eggs. My first time making them and they were so yummy! Everything was so yummy! Oh yeah and my mom made a pan of homemade macaroni and cheese! All of my favorites!! We had a easter egg hunt for all the kids and there had to have been like 200 eggs. They were all over the place. I would say to Rocky where's an egg. He would look, point and say in his cute voice, "Over there!"  Lincoln's...

Learning How to Swing

Image
Daddy is teaching Lincoln how to pump his legs on the swing so he can do it all by himself. Daddy goofing off with Rocky on the swing! Lincoln was doing so good!! He picks up on things really fast and daddy is such a good teacher!

After the Science Center...

Image
we went over to Brett and Briana's to hang out. They didn't go with us because Briana and Nixon weren't feeling very good. So we went to Sharky's and got some dinner and then we went over to Tutti Frutti, a yummy frozen yogurt place where you get to pick your flavors and then put however many flavors on that you want.  Going to dinner... While eating our food a Orange County Fire truck pulled up and the kids were all waving and so one of the firefighters came over and gave all the kids hats and stickers. It was awesome, maybe daddy should apply for OCFD!!

Discovery Science Center

Image
We were waiting for my mom, Vanessa and her kids to go down to the science museum. So I was taking pictures of the boys. Lincoln likes to get himself dressed and I thought he looked pretty cute! Some days he likes to wear all red or all orange. He usually picks out pretty cute little outfits. Grandma sent each of them a pair of shorts for easter and she got Rocky red shorts and Lincoln grey shorts. But I've let Lincoln wear the red ones a few times because he loves red. Check out those muscles!! Posing for the camera. Lincoln and Rocky are being the weather man!! "The Zit" I wanted to pop this thing all day, but I restrained myself and then we were leaving and my mom said, "That doesn't look so good you should pop it." So I did and he didn't even flinch. The next day it was pretty much gone.  Lincoln waited forever to get on these computers. He is obsessed with playing computer games and video games. Here he is playing with Grammy. This was my boys favor...

Doggies, Horses, Kitties, Dirt and Shooter Guns!

Image
Can we say boy heaven!! I don't know why we don't go out to the Lawrence's house more often. It is so fun!! Jessica taught me and Briana how to make her delicious whole wheat bread. I won't be buying bread anymore that's for sure. Check our recipe blog for the recipe. It's called Foolproof Whole Wheat Bread. Yum Yum! Lincoln is loving this shooter gun and Rocky won't leave the dog alone. He was just hanging out with the dog most of the day. Rocky with Jessica! Giving the horse kisses! The doggy was giving Rocky kisses! The horse almost trampled Rocky good thing Uncle Bob was in the way.  These baby kitties are only two days old. They were so precious!!

The Poppy Fields

Image
I grew up in California and this was my first time going to the poppy fields. Here is what we saw when we got there. Not much!! The boys were loving running on the trails. They didn't care they just love being outside. There was some color throughout but they weren't poppies.  Rocky saw Grammy ahead on the trail and ran to her to hold him. He had taken a spill on the trail and skinned his knee. I love watching him run it is the cutest thing.  You can't tell in the picture but when Lincoln runs he drags his feet and kind of goes back and forth because he says he's making smoke. The dust is the smoke and he is the race car. Lincoln and Ashton, it's so fun having cousins so close in age.
