Lincoln is hilarious!! Here are some of the funny things he's said recently...
We were eating dinner one night last week and daddy grabbed a baggy of jelly beans out of the pantry when he was done eating. We told Lincoln he could have some if he ate all his dinner and then I started eating a couple. Then he says to me, "Hey you ate the red ones because I love the red ones!" Then a minute later, he bursts out, "STOP EATING THE RED ONES! Eat the yellow ones!"
Lately he's been very concerned with having bad dreams, he will say to me when I'm putting him to bed, "mommy don't let me have bad dreams." Then the other day we were driving home, here is our conversation...
L: I'm going to have a dream about going to Grandma's house.
M: That would be a good dream. We like having good dreams!
L: Yeah, dreams about houses, and race cars, and go-carts, and motorcycles, and jump motorcycles, and 4-wheelers, and space ships, and rockets, and monster trucks.
Daddy and I were cracking up we thought the list would never end.
Another night we were driving home and Lincoln was singing a made up song and then he asked us if we wanted to hear the nascar race car song? Of course! A couple months ago I was putting him to bed and I sing a couple songs before they go to sleep and I usually ask him what songs he wants me to sing and he asked me to sing a race car song, so I just made one up. So ever since then he makes up these songs about race cars, motorcycles, space ships and whatever else he thinks up. Anyway he started in singing his song about a race car going fast and crashing and then he said he would win the trophy if it is God's plan. Then he went on to sing that he would get baptized and go to heaven! It was awesome!
If only you could all hear his prayers everyday, he went through a phase where it was like pulling teeth to get him to say a prayer and now if he doesn't get to say the prayer he gets very upset! His prayers are so sweet and innocent, they are also geared around cars and racing. I just love them! He is the sweetest little boy, if I get mad at him he gets very sad that I am mad and does whatever he can to make me not be mad at him anymore. He is so sweet with his brother and so helpful (most of the time)! Yesterday I asked him to go help his brother get some clothes so they both went upstairs and came down with a mismatched outfit, I think it is so cute! Lincoln loves getting himself dressed in his AWESOME clothes every morning he has a little obsession with clothes that I blame his Aunt Trishy for because she has always bought him such cute stuff! He loves getting his shoes on all by himself and he does his car seat buckles all by himself too. If I even try to help he throws a fit, he is very independent and loves to figure things out! One of his latest things is writing letters for people he loves writing letters! He scribbles on a piece of paper and says what he is writing while he is scribbling. So I do my best to remember the cute little things he says and then I translate for the person receiving the letter. He would mail letters everyday if I let him but I told him that it costs money to mail letters so we have to put a limit on the letters! I just love this boy of mine, he is so precious to me, I just wish we could stop time for a few years, three is such a fun age! I try to remind myself everyday to enjoy each minute with my babies!! I love you Lincoln!!
