Heaven on Earth

Lincoln's new favorite place is the BMX track! This was his third time riding on this track and my first time watching. He did so awesome!! He just kept on going lap after lap. Rich had to make him take a break and he wanted a blue gatorade this time, which he shared with his brother Rocky. They went back out and rode for awhile, on the next break he said daddy I want to go out by myself. So Lincoln would go and then daddy would go on the next start. Lincoln was even passing kids bigger than him, he was going for it.  Lincoln getting some air! Nice jump!!!

My Bizzy Board

We have felt so unorganized over the last few weeks maybe because it is summer but I've wanted to make one of these for awhile. So finally I did! This is so we can have a set schedule for the things we have going on during the week. Now I just have to fill it in. I think it turned out so cute!!!

Rocky's New Hair Cut

Image
Vanessa called me this morning and asked if I would buzz Ashton's hair so they came over early afternoon and I cut Ashton's hair and then Rocky woke up as I was finishing. When I was done I asked Rocky if he wanted a hair cut and he said yes and walked over to me. I couldn't do it without talking to Rich so I waited. Daddy said if he wants it cut than just cut it. So I got the buzzers, sat Rocky outside and started cutting off his beautiful golden hair. It was like three inches long. He was laughing pretty much the whole time! When I showed him in the mirror he pointed and said look owie, he could see the cut on  his forehead much  better with all his hair gone. He looks so handsome and grown up! What a big boy! He was even helping sweep up his hair off the back patio! Such a tough guy! He's just like his dad he puts off this tough guy attitude yet he is such a love!!

Nixon's Home Track

Rich took Lincoln to the Sycamore BMX track in Simi Valley about a week ago and he absolutely loved it!! He didn't want to leave, he didn't want to take breaks. Rich asked him toward the end if he wanted to do one or two more and he said no dad I want to do a hundred more. So the next week we went down to the track in Orange County so Nixon and Lincoln could ride together. So they took off and Lincoln couldn't quite make it over the first big hill. Then he tried it again and hit his brakes right before the hill. Rich took him off the track and he didn't want to go again we were trying everything. We were bummed because we know he can do it and we just want him to have fun. He kept saying I just want to go to my track (Simi). So Brett took him over to the start gate just to watch and told him he would get him some ice cream if he tried it one more time. He said yes! So he went out again, didn't quite make it up the hill but kept going around the track and then did it...

Happy 4th of July!!

Image
My mom and Chris had the boys sleep over at their house last night so we were able to go on a little date, sleep all night with no interruptions and get up early (yes early unfortunately) to go on a bike ride. We rode up the fire road at the end of San Fernando road (I guess it's now Newhall Ave) Rich had pointed out at the top of the mountain the towers that they ride to and I thought they were crazy. Then on the way home from Mammoth we were getting off the freeway and I looked up at the mountain and said I want to ride up to those towers. So we planned it and I didn't make it to the top. But almost!! We started a little later than we wanted to so it was getting hot and the parade was going to start so we turned around probably about 3/4 of the way up. It was really fun though and I told Rich I want to ride it every saturday! We went home got back on our bikes and rode down to the parade. Rich was carrying Lincoln's bike so that he could ride it to Grammy and Grampy's...

We love visiting Granny Annie!

We try and go to my granny's house about once a week to play and help her with whatever she needs. The boys have so much fun playing and when I first got there Granny needed help getting on her email to find an email from a friend of hers in England. So I got on and she had like 300 unread messages. We found the email and then got to work making jam. We made cherry peach, raspberry peach, peach zuchini, and lemon-lime zuchini. It was very fun to spend the day over there. We then went on the 7th of July with Briana, Nixon and Rossi and made a bunch of applesauce and some more jam. They were both very fun days. I love my granny we were out in her garden and we found a handful more of peaches and she had thought they were all gone. So she says, "Oh thank you Heavenly Father!" Then I found a lemon that had fallen off of the tree and was ripe, which we needed a lemon so she said again, "Thank you Heavenly Father!" She is one of my greatest examples I just love her!!

Mammoth Mountain

This is one of our favorite places to visit in the summer. We went up for a long weekend and had a great time. We left Friday when Rich got off work and Lincoln couldn't wait to get there to ride his bike on the mountain. It ended up being late when we got there so the first thing he wanted to do the next morning was to go on a bike ride. Grammy came with us so we all got on our bikes and headed out. We tried letting Rocky ride his little bike with training wheels but he didn't last very long and wanted to ride on mommy's bike. So we rode over to the park and there is a little single track trail that we rode on to get over there and Lincoln did awesome. There were big rocks sticking up out of the ground that he had to maneuver around, I was very impressed. Before we left Lincoln had asked to bring some race cars to the park so I said okay you can bring four. He insisted on putting them in his backpack and wearing it over to the park. So when we got there he climbed up to th...
