Nixon's Home Track

Rich took Lincoln to the Sycamore BMX track in Simi Valley about a week ago and he absolutely loved it!! He didn't want to leave, he didn't want to take breaks. Rich asked him toward the end if he wanted to do one or two more and he said no dad I want to do a hundred more. So the next week we went down to the track in Orange County so Nixon and Lincoln could ride together. So they took off and Lincoln couldn't quite make it over the first big hill. Then he tried it again and hit his brakes right before the hill. Rich took him off the track and he didn't want to go again we were trying everything. We were bummed because we know he can do it and we just want him to have fun. He kept saying I just want to go to my track (Simi). So Brett took him over to the start gate just to watch and told him he would get him some ice cream if he tried it one more time. He said yes! So he went out again, didn't quite make it up the hill but kept going around the track and then did it one more time before they had to close the track for the races. After we watched Nixon race we went to yogurtland and got ice cream!! I had to fill out a spotlight sheet about Lincoln for primary and I asked him what his favorite place to visit is and he said the BMX race track. Then I said what's your next favorite place to visit and he said Nixon's BMX track. Disneyland came in third place!
