Mammoth Mountain
This is one of our favorite places to visit in the summer. We went up for a long weekend and had a great time. We left Friday when Rich got off work and Lincoln couldn't wait to get there to ride his bike on the mountain. It ended up being late when we got there so the first thing he wanted to do the next morning was to go on a bike ride. Grammy came with us so we all got on our bikes and headed out. We tried letting Rocky ride his little bike with training wheels but he didn't last very long and wanted to ride on mommy's bike. So we rode over to the park and there is a little single track trail that we rode on to get over there and Lincoln did awesome. There were big rocks sticking up out of the ground that he had to maneuver around, I was very impressed. Before we left Lincoln had asked to bring some race cars to the park so I said okay you can bring four. He insisted on putting them in his backpack and wearing it over to the park. So when we got there he climbed up to the top of one of the slides and started pulling out the cars. I thought for sure he would have sneaked a few extra cars in but he had exactly four. He let Rocky race two down the slide while he raced the other two.
We left the park and went along a trail to go on a little ride. Lincoln was not enjoying the hills we were going up and so daddy got a little extra work out. We went off on this dirt road at one point and out of nowhere this guy is behind us hiking in a speedo. We got out of there as fast as possible and got back to the trail we had been on previously. We then decided to go up a different way and happened upon a skate park. Lincoln was in heaven!! When we ended up leaving he made sure we were coming back later, which we did. Daddy rode around it with him while we watched from the side. Rocky does not like watching he wanted to be out there with his big brother.

Lincoln loved going down this big hill!!
We went up to the main lodge to just check out the lift and see about getting passes to do some downhill on our bikes. But look at that mountain it was still covered in snow, so the lifts were closed to bikes.
Playing on the big mammoth statue.
My granny's condo that we stay at is so awesome. Right behind the condo is a natural meadow. with a river running through it. There are paths going along the river you can take walks on. We saw a deer one day when we were out on the balcony and the boys fed the ducks some of my delicious whole wheat bread with Grammy. We just love it so we went on a walk through the meadow and Lincoln was so tired. He slipped one foot into the water at one point and was a mess until we got back to the condo and started jumping off of things. So here we are in the meadow.
By the river, thumbs up dad!!!
Fixing Rocky's shoe.

Daddy told Lincoln he was going to throw him in the river just teasing and Lincoln held on for dear life. Rich said it was hard getting him off he was holding on so tight!!!

Jumping off the neighbor's porch...
and the big rock!

On monday Rich and I went on a downhill ride. My mom drove us up to the main lodge and then we hopped on the trail from there and rode it down. It was really fun, yet challenging at parts. The downtown trail was really groomed and pretty easy to get down but of course we didn't stay on that one we went over to (I can't remember the name of the trail) anyway we rode a harder trail down and it was still really fun.
This picture doesn't do me justice because I was going to walk down this thing but I couldn't because I would have just slipped down those wooden boards trying to get down. It was a pretty steep part and then I had to do a left turn right at the bottom and it was all sandy, which is hard to maneuver in. Well I made it down, a little freaked out, but I did it.
I wanted to get a picture of Rich riding on this tree because I thought it would be fun to show the boys and Lincoln thought it was pretty cool.

There was a jump at the bottom of the trail so Rich rode back up so the boys could see him go off the jump.
Daddy going off the big jump! Nice jump my love! We took Rich back up so he could ride the trail one more time before we took off for home. We had a great weekend, it was so much fun relaxing and being in the beautiful world God created for us to enjoy!!!
