Happy 4th of July!!

My mom and Chris had the boys sleep over at their house last night so we were able to go on a little date, sleep all night with no interruptions and get up early (yes early unfortunately) to go on a bike ride. We rode up the fire road at the end of San Fernando road (I guess it's now Newhall Ave) Rich had pointed out at the top of the mountain the towers that they ride to and I thought they were crazy. Then on the way home from Mammoth we were getting off the freeway and I looked up at the mountain and said I want to ride up to those towers. So we planned it and I didn't make it to the top. But almost!! We started a little later than we wanted to so it was getting hot and the parade was going to start so we turned around probably about 3/4 of the way up. It was really fun though and I told Rich I want to ride it every saturday! We went home got back on our bikes and rode down to the parade. Rich was carrying Lincoln's bike so that he could ride it to Grammy and Grampy's house. Thanks to Grampy we got a sweet spot to enjoy the parade!! The boys had fun watching all the advertisers go by. The best was the mustang and corvette clubs.

Rocky wasn't feeling to good at this moment. He had just woken up but right before I laid him down for a nap he took a pretty good tumble. I was upstairs having Lincoln lay down and take a nap because I knew they would be up late watching fireworks. Rich was getting Rocky out of the pool to come inside and he wrapped him with his towel like a burrito and sent him into the house thinking I was just in the kitchen and would come grab him. He was walking in toward the  kitchen and tripped over his towel and fell straight on his face. He had no hands to break his fall. So the gum line on his top teeth were bleeding and they had cut into his bottom lip. So he wasn't feeling to hot. Daddy felt so bad he hates to see anything happen to his boys he loves them immensely!
Pretty much potty trained, of course he has the occasional accident when we are out and about! He loves being a big boy like his brother and wearing big boy underwear! Good job Rocky you are a stud!!
We went over to the Bingham's "backyard" (Hart High's upper field is right behind their house) to do fireworks. It was a great place to do them. The boys loved the fireworks. The first one that went off Rocky whined for a minute and then he enjoyed all the rest of them. Uncle Shane was awesome firing them off for us!!

I don't know what was up with the little sparklers they lasted seriously one second and then went out. But Lincoln loved this big sparkler!!
He also made sure to protect the family jewels while he was waving the sparklers around. It was hilarious!! We had a great 4th of July and we are so grateful to live in this country and enjoy the many freedoms that we have.
